March, I sit here enjoying my Chai Latte while watching the snow flakes gently fall. I have to stop and ponder why everyone doesn't take a little R&R from our otherwise hectic life. I am here with the man I love and am surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of snowcapped mountain peaks! Life cannot get much better (esp. since he's doing the dishes!) We hiked the South Fork until we couldn't stop laughing from the frequent steps into hip high snow drifts : ) I saw my first white snow bunny that patiently posed until got my camera. It's been a wonderful stay and I am sure we'll be back. D&E

October, We love this retreat. This is our 5th visit and it is always magical. We never get tired of visiting here. Hiking on the trails behind the other cabins the views of the mountains are intense. It feels as if you could almost reach out and touch them. It is very enjoyable, just hanging out with the one you love, relaxing, playing games, hiking, taking a hot tub in the snow with a great view etc. Life is good and we will be back. BZ&S

June, (maybe - I've lost track of time out here - don't know the day of the week.) I am so glad I found your website. What a special place you have here. Loved the homey, cheerful feel of the Prospector. The weather has been perfect. We drove everywhere (we are too lazy to hike.) Leadville and the lovely Turquoise Lake. Beautiful country going to Vicksburg & Winfield, Independence Pass, where we were hit by a 3 minute snow squall in the middle of a warm sunny day. Spent one morning in Aspen & rode the gondola up for amazing views. Loved the hummingbirds!!! Especially enjoyed time down on your creek bank, soaking in the sun and the sound of the water. I haven't felt so peaceful in years! Thanks, T&T from Texas

August, May all who share the peace and beauty of this place strive to keep the feelings alive as your journey continues and until you return again. A&S
